After serving as the Executive Assistant for the former Mayor of Austin, Texas during his final year and a half of college, Pat joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ where he served as the personal assistant to Bill Bright, the President and Founder of the organization. It was during this time that Pat began to realize more about himself and his heart for shepherding people. After three years he returned to the mega-church in suburban Dallas, Texas in which he raised. There he spearheaded a work in the inner city which ultimately involved hundreds of people from his church and the housing project. Through this experience Pat gained an even greater sense of what it meant to walk with people in deeply meaningful ways, and a belief that while programs are necessary, presence is even more essential.
Pat joined the staff of another large church in Dallas where served as the Singles Pastor. It was there Pat found himself feeling overwhelmed by the issues and pain people were experiencing. Presence was still absolutely essential, and Pat’s intensive listening skills were often quite helpful. However, the need for an understanding of how people truly change was greatly needed. As a result, Pat and his family moved to Denver where he received his Master in Counseling from Colorado Christian University in 1996.
Pat remained in Colorado, where he served as pastor of a small non-denominational Bible church in Evergreen. This opportunity allowed Pat to work with people in the church and as an outreach to the community where he combined his pastor’s heart with his listening skills, his education, and his experience to help facilitate a deeper sense of change – a transformational change. Today Pat serves as the Vice President for Organizational Development of The Redimere Group with a passion and commitment to help individuals and organizations experience that same transformational change.
